The vibrant city of Cardiff has shopping facilities to be proud of and is acknowledged as one of the finest shopping cities in Europe. Built with pedestrians in mind, the city centre has an appreciable number of pedestrianised walkways and consists of large shopping malls that sit harmoniously with the grand Victorian and Edwardian shopping arcades. With the large department stores and all of the major chains you would expect of a major city, combined with chic fashion boutiques, small independent shops and numerous quirky outlets, Cardiff has shopping covered from every angle. The Capitol Shopping Centre is a large, multi-purpose shopping centre in the heart of Cardiff. A plethora of shops, a large number of restaurants and cafes and a five-screen cinema make this a popular venue.
